ok. i caved in. i bought myself a dress. yes. i know. i don't ever wear dresses or own any; except for bridesmaid dresses (when i was in 2 weddings so far) or prom dress (when i was in hs.)

i need help. i bought it in "XL." It might be too big. it fits perfect in the boobs,but the material below the boobs..seems to be a bit big. i'm concerned. if i exchange it for a "L".. it might be perfect below the boobs.. but might be tight in the boob area.

ohmygod! i feel so scandalous. why? i haven't bought myself a new bra in a few years and i just spent $50 bucks on a brand new bra that i can fit into from victoria secrets. i'm beyond shocked. and to top it off.. its merlot wine color. thats why i feel so scandlous in buying it. it looks great on me (in that it holds me well, covers my entire boobies, and even lifts my boobs up a little.. not that they aren't already perky and lifty) and its merlot (also one of my parent's cat's names..merlot and shardonnay). the color alone makes me look more hot..not that anyone is going to see the bra except for me. haha. now i want one in green, black and ivory. *facepalm*

hey. i had a situation happen today at work. a customer comes in and wants me or my bar partner to blend her protien drink for her. bascially it was a bag of protien powder from her home.. and blend it with an inch of water and a whole banana. now.. are we allowed to do that? i said "I'm not sure we are supposed to do that." my bar partner said it as well but we did it anywway. i then was proceeding to tell the customer (some chick who always comes in and i think her gf works in our mall) that we aren't really supposed to do this. she cuts me off and says "well, your store manager and i are friends." what the hell? the nerve! i felt that she was undermining my authority.. even though i'm just a barista. but she does not work at our store. i hope i dont ring her up tomorrow morning.. sicne i have to work tomorrow. i wnated to tell my sm today.. but i never had a chance to.

i thought this amused me greatly. be a barista during the day and be a bartender at night. ha.

there is a 2 week course, 3 hour days from monday through friday either in the day or at night classes for $500 and that's it. however, i can just see my parents laughing at me and/or disagreeing whole heartedly with the idea.

this morning before work.. i aparently tried to hit on my co-worker.. so she says. umm.. what? i told her.. "man. is it hot in here or is it just me?" and she totally twisted my words around. jokingly. i explained to her that i wasn't doing that and i was hot because i hadnt' had breakfast yet. when i got up this morning.. i was in a rush to take a shower and hop on a bus to make sure i had time to eat breakfast at work before my shift started. well, my tummy likes to be fed as soon as i wake up. and i didn't feed it. i ignored it. which it grumbled at me the whole way and i was slugglish getting to work because i needed food in my system. all good now. a cherry yougurt and 3 small vanilla scones later.. my tummy was happy and my tempature was normal till i started work and then i got hot. lol.

bought a LOT of fruit snacks and 3 pounds of almonds (no salt, no seasoning, just plain) for snack at work. i figure a 1/4 cup of almonds and a small package of fruit snacks will hold me over during my 10 min break at work.. till i get off work for real food.. instead of eating free left over pastires from the day before or buying a pastry.

i need to go food shopping. i'm literraly down to two chicken breasts, 4 frozen packages of veggies, oatmeal, canned veggies, a few eggs (that i hope are still good), and a whole lot of fruit snacks and almonds.i have nothing else to eat.

As a former worker of both an independent coffeeshop and Starbucks, I can tell you that the baristas will notice this, and you won't be so welcome anymore. (aka they'll mentally be giving you a swift kick in the ass). Milk is very expensive.

ah, work on saturday's at the mall is hell no matter if its starbucks or another retail store. anyways...

we have a new shifty named ryan and hes hella adorable. probably gay, but cute nonetheless. well, we have another barista named, ryan, as well that has worked at our store for hmm... 2 or 3 years? i said "hey you" to ryan.. and than "hi, hows it going?" to another ryan.. while both of the guys were standing right next to each other. i thought it was funny and sorta confusing. made my day.

jeni, jason and ian came to visit me at starbucks today! ian is getting so much bigger every time i see him! he took a picture with the easter bunny today. i have to buy a frame and put the picture in. ^__^ i showed my nephew off to my co-workers that were working with me at the time. yay!

as i was getting off..close to when my shift ended.. miles (another shifty) came to "clock" into work. while he was rummaging around re-stocking stuffs.. and i was helping customers on till.. as fucking usual.. well an awkward moment happend and it was cute in my opinion. he was bent down getting stuffs and he was behind me and i didn't know that at the time. as he was still bent down (god i have a dirty mind at times) i moved backwards to get into my till and i bumped my butt into his. LOL. it was fucking hilarious. of course i said "oh my god, are you okay? i didn't know you were down there." he came up with a huge grin and his cheeks were bright red. Haha. he's adorable. he has a gf as far as i know.. but still.. hes cute and i'd totally date him if i had a chance. we bumped butts.. haha.. it was so an accident but it was hella funny.

i took a picture with edward at the mall! now.. what i mean by that is, i took a picture of edward with him as a cardboard cutout.. lol. it's on my myspace page. i love it.

i also just dyed my hair a redish auburn color. so very me!

So.. i got to make a couple of drinks today. a couple. i barely get to make any....::sighs:: so as i'm making a iced green tea drink for a customer.. since the store manager is busy chatting with a customer.. i decide to go ahead and make it. stupid remark coming up... i'm standing over the ice bin.. okay.. and i have a drink in my hand.. getting read to put the ice in the shaker.. and my brain stops working for a second. i kinda forgot if i was supposed to put ice in the shaker first before the liquids or liquids first and than ice. as i'm pondering that for all of less than 5 seconds..*the entire time my store manager is watching me* i say "where's the ice?" STUPID comment ever! i'm standing over the fucking ice bin and i say that...?! wow.. i laughed at myself and my store manager just looked at me and said "keep going. you're doing fine." wow. i thought he would have laughed at me or would have critized me.. since my old store manager did that to me. i hated her.

i got put on bar to make one drink yesterday. ONE. DRINK. WTF? well.. i did get to slide over to bar and than back to till 2 mins later.. :::sigh:::

the boss even said "we need to get you trained on bar." i said "yep."

i'm talked to him twice now about me being on bar and he still hasn't done anything. except for it was dead slow for all of two mniutes and thats when he put me on bar to make one fucking drink. a tall iced vanilla latte. that i was proud of making. jeez...

oh i am sure fucking hanging in there..

i just need to vent about work...

so.. i've been working at starbucks for umm.. 10 months and none of my co-workers have asked to hang out with me after work. everyone is friends with everyone outside of work and they make no effort to ask me to hang out with them. i would love to hang out with some of them after work at times but they don't ever ask me to hang out.

i was at work on "v" day for 6.5 hours on till.. as fucking usual. i'm never on bar.. never.

note to self: ask sm to give me bar time and maybe get certified before my one year comes around...

i went in today on my day off just to request some time off in march for a few days (i might be going to las vegas.. maybe) and it was hella busy. there were 6 partners on the floor. across the street, there was a "bicycle" tour going on.. and our store is located right next to the busy downtown market..hence why it was very very busy. but.. as i was walking in the back.. they all looked at me like i had grown a fucking pair of elf ears or something. i just wanted to stop by and say "hey" and request time off. they come in when they aren't scheduled to say "hey." so why can't i.. without feeling like i'm being judged. i had just worked friday and saturday there.

i understand that they are all friends outside of work and joke during work and etc.. but they never at least try to get to know me. i am a very fun person to get to know. granted, i am a private person.. as is anyone.. but i just would love to make new friends and i was hoping that i could make some at work.... i guess not. it feels like high school. they have a "clique" going on .. apparently. and it fucking sucks.

i'm an idoit. what else is new? i was so excited that the the 2 memory sticks were 1 gb each and that it was under $40 dollars when i bought it.. that i did NOT read the fine print carefully. what i bought was 2 sticks of (512 mb) memory that equals to 1 gb. when i wanted "2gb" memory total. and why the "belarc" system information sheet confirmed that i installed 2 sticks of 512mb. idoit!!

shit. i have to re-buy the 2 sticks again but at a total of 2gb.. which is like $74 total (including s&h.) shit. wel.. i think i'll wait for now.. my computer is running much smoother now that i added another stick of 512mb. i basically wasted money because i already have a 512mb stick that came with the computer. can i tell myself that i'm an idoit again? i'm an idoit.

good news: i'm returning the 2 sticks of 512mb's and getting money back!

updated ram on my computer of 3 years

my lovely E-machine desktop computer of 3 years ... was in dire need of much anticipated updated ram. 512MB was the standard amount that came with the computer (when i bought it 3 years ago) when in actuality.. only 384MB was being used for 3 years. i caved in and very proudly i might add, i installed 2 GB (only $35.18 from newegg.com) worth of ram by myself into my computer yesterday morning.

i'm a dork. i didn't install the 2nd ram stick in correctly because when i booted up my computer and checked the amount to see how much was actually running ... it still said "384 MB." i re-opened my computer case this morning to find the problem. the 2nd stick was in correctly but the notch handles to hold the stick in place.. one of them was not secured in all the way. that was the problem. i fixed it, plugged in all the cables, turned the power strip back on, turned on the computer and waited in suspense to see how the computer would run.

much FASTER is the word i'm looking for. yeah.. now i have "896 MB" of ram used.. when i have 2GB installed. i guess the computer eats up some of the memory. oh well. i can't complain. i now have more speed to run porgrams more smoother. including the computer games (Maplestory and WOW) that i can't wait to play ... when i'm not busy with school work or tired from coming home from work.

in other news:

i filed taxes for the first time! taxslayer.com. you only have to pay $9.95 instead of turbotax or e-file which costs a little more. i never realized how easy it is to input the information from the W-2 forms (from work) into the required boxes. i supposedly get back $712.00 back. WOW. i will use most of that money to pay off one of my personal loans.

v-day is going to be the holiday i hate this year. its bad enough that i get couples ordering their drinks at work.. but come v-day (which i have to work) is gonna be hell. lovey-dovey couples and "i love you" and flowers and cupcakes and etc... hmph! now.. if i had someone to share that day with.. than i wouldn't hate the holiday. but since i dont, i hate it.

oh.. i hope this really works! i just purchased this www.capresso.com/water-kettle-frother-frothxpress.shtml#features yesterday and all it does is steam milk. i hate the taste of espresso so i wanted a machine that would just steam milk. if by some strange fucked up part of the a machine does not work, its going back and i'm getting a refund asap!

now.. i can make my own drinks without the taste of espresso at home... provided i need to get some sort of syrup flavor to add to the milk otherwise its just steamed milk. i did purchase this:

so it should help..i hope. 4 sample flavors: chocolate raspberry, orange valcentio, vanilla cream and lemon drop.its supposed to be healthier than actual syrup flavors from starbucks or any other sugar syrup flavor. we'll see how it goes.

my sm put me on bar yesterday for awhile while another barista and the sm cleaned up around me and helped customers at the registers. whoo-ooh! i'm getting good at steaming and making foam for the hot drinks. yay!

of course, i still have questions about what goes in some drinks because i've never actually made them besides studying my flash cards that i made for myself.

the sm said "we're gonna have to change that" while referring to me not being a certified barista after 9 months of working at starbucks.

yesterday was a good day.

i hope today will be a good day too.

i LOVE opening up for the morning shift at Bux. It's sooo much fucking easier than doing the closing shift where you break everything down, fucking clean everything.. plus restocking stuffs and mopping floors and washing dishes.. etc..whew!

i got to work bar for about 10 mins today. YAY!!!!! i love my partners! they are making me "slide" to bar when it's not so busy and that's so fine with me. i'd rather they get the drinks made when the line is basically out the door. I have a feeling that this year I will get certifed as a barista.. eventually.

i didn't really make a full drink (s) per se... I mainly steamed the milk.. and added shots or pumps of various syrups that go in the drinks.. so ok.. yeah.. i made an almost entire drink. i just didn't add whip cream or foam or a lid to it... i was double barring with another partner. then.. i got scooted over to the registers.. again. my time will come.. where i make more drinks and get more practice with making the drinks.

my DM and and SM was here today. since they were both there... i asked them both a question and it worked out because i had the SM and the DM there as well. i asked, "i've seen partners in other stores wear a studded belt. is that allowed? can i wear one here?" they both said "i don't see why not. it doesn't say in the handbook that you can't not wear one." fucking sweet!!!!

i even asked beta ..something... *i forgot her full lj user name*...as well.
